The Ride Back had the same polished world as the first Rolls-Royce microfilm, but it felt a little more lived in. The car is beautiful, the framing is beautiful, and then the characters are just dealing with whatever the day has turned into.

I loved that it did not need a huge plot twist. The comedy lives in the reactions, the awkward little pauses, and how seriously everyone behaves while the situation gets increasingly less serious.

Projects like this are rlly fun for me because they sit somewhere between an ad and a short film. You are still communicating a brand, but you get to do it through character and story instead of explaining why the service is good.

Behind the role

I focused on keeping the performance grounded and letting the humour come from the situation rather than trying to manufacture a funny moment.

01

Character work

I treated the role like a small film performance, building the character through reactions and timing rather than exposition.
02

Subtle comedy

We kept the humour dry so it could sit naturally beside the very polished Rolls-Royce visuals.
03

Brand storytelling

The service stayed part of the story without taking over the story, which made the piece feel more cinematic.
04

What stayed with me

I like work that trusts the audience to catch the joke. You do not always need to explain everything.
